Bach 42AF-G, Bach 42T-G Super Mint Early 90's Bell/Valve Section (most likely, but could be 80's) Bach Bell Sections were not serialized.  We think that it may be 1980's because it arrived here with a slide SN 88,XXX, but not 100% positive because the original owner is deceased.  He was a pro player who worked with Both Chicago Symphony and also Philadelphia Orchestra, plus many others.  He may have bought this originally with a Bach 50LT like the Chicago players used over the years.  He mus have also used the original nickel slide on a different horn, a Reynolds Contempora Bass, also on our website.  He had a few extra slides so we paired this Bell/Valve with Corporation Era Standard Weight Slide SN 9724 which was made around 1964, possibly made in Mt. Vernon, but not certain.

Is an excellent playing Bach 42G, possibly hand picked at the factory. We did full shop service here including chemical bath and once over.  No issues with the horn.  Handslide is excellent, super straight, very smooth, a minor spot of plating wear, but not plating loss.  End crook is in perfect condition, no evidence of prior damage or redrot.  Not much lacquer wear, even on the grip areas.

Would be an amazing pro level horn for any player, including an advancing student.  Is the type of horn that you would most likely keep a long, long time, maybe for life.  We added a like new Shires Black Pack Pack Style Case.  Mouthpiece not included.
