Conn 48H .500 Bore Mint Elkhart Vintage 1961 SN 946579 Gorgeous 48H which is all original parts and lacquer, original case also very good condition. This is the similar model to the 6H by Conn. Same bell specs, 8" with unsoldered rim. The nickel silver bell is without flaw. Has .500 bore gold brass handslide with nickel silver end crook. Handslide is in very good playing condition, falls freely with gravity. No inner slide plating defects. Had a previous tuning slide dent removed. This would be an excellent pro level vintage jazz trombone for any player, especially Conn enthusiasts and collectors. There are not many of these in this pristine condition still around today. We have had more than a few dozen over the years and love the way they play. It feels very close to the 6H model, as it should, but the overall tone characteristic is slightly darker, less high frequency in the overtones. Would be a great Jazz improvisors horn, also great all around, multiple styles, rock, funk, big band.
