Mid 1960's Elkhart, IN era Conn 6H. SN M02289. Has had pro slide set up with Greenhoe Inners. Well known brass tech did the work. Gorgeous Yellow Brass 8" Bell with unsoldered rim. Hand slide is .500 bore, nickel silver inner tubes, gold brass outer tubes, nickel oversleeves, nickel end crook. Slide has no tension or defects other than outer lacquer wear, but not too bad. Has years of useful play remaining. Takes Small shank mouthpiece. Original Elkhart Conn leadpipes are wonderful to play on. Any small shank mouthpiece can be used, but they tend to play best with medium to small rim/cup size. Mouthpiece not included. Frank Rosolino is the most well known jazz player to play this model. At one time, the entire Stan Kenton Orchestra section used this model. Of course, Conn was making amazing instruments all the way back to the late 1800's. Once you start playing one of these in a jazz setting, you quickly understand why they are so nice. Includes a Marco Magi SR series small/medium size case. This one is the black/red SR. Has texture. No zippers, has three latches. Is the type of case that is both functional and gorgeous.
