YSL-8425G Yamaha Large Bore Tenor SN 01219. Has 8.5" Gold Brass Bell, .547 Bore Handlside Standard weight, Traditional wrap rotor. We did full shop service here including full once over and chemical bath. No dents or dings. Has had a previous bell crease. We went over it again and improved it somewhat. But, this is an older horn and shows wear. Handslide is good but has a few small areas of plating loss on the inner tubes. I would use a traditional cream type lubricant and water to make this slide perform it's best. Has the original style Yamaha flight case, in good condition. Would be a nice first large tenor for an advancing player on a budget. Would also be a great teachers horn, use for lessons when you don't want to risk your nice horn. Speaking of students: Some of my students prior to beginning lessons over the years, have played on absolutely unacceptable horns. While this horn does not look amazing, it could still be a nice upgrade for a lot of people. Overall appearance is reflected in the price. It's hard to find a pro level yamaha large tenor in any condition for under $1000.
