Holton TR180 Bass Trombone SN 515622 Made around 1972, Elkhorn, WI. Excellent condition TR180, Single Owner Bass. Has rose brass bell, jsut a little under 10", around 9.85". Has had no prior damage or repairs, and is all original parts and lacquer. Is in amazing shape for it's age. Dependent tuning Bb/F/Eb. Glantz Bar single lever. Here is how it works: When you pull the F lever you get C or F in First position, just like all other Bass Trombones. Then to play low Eb in first, you move your thumb slightly to the left and both valves engage. This puts low B around 6th position. Excellent choice for anyone looking to learn to play bass on a proper instrument. Some players like to split the valves and add a D slide. It actually works really nice when converted properly. But, we are offering it as is. Has an excellent handslide and is without defects, no inner tube plating loss. Has leather slide grip and leather neck guard already installed. Includes original clean case, two Schilke mouthpieces, and multiple accessory kits for for maintenance and cleaning. Would be an excellent Bass for anyone looking for the Classic Holton make/sound, or for anyone wanting to play bass but not ready to go up to current new prices in the 5-8K Range. This TR180 will not disappoint.
