CONN

Conn 28H Connstellation SN 398414, Made in Elkhart, IN 1952.  Jazzer all the way.  Has 7.5" Brass Bell with dual bore hand slide. Is similar in size to a King 2B.  The dark color of the bell is a combination of age, then lacquer over.  It is not coming off easily.  The yellow brass tuning slide had quite a few deep dents, the type that don't look good when repaired, and not easy to repair either.  We did our best and our guru made a brass tuning slide guard, soldered on, unlacquerd.  Now it plays proper.  The handslide is very quick and super straight tubes.  It plays easily.  Would be a great option for any serious player looking for a unique vintage jazz trombone.  It is not likely that you will encounter other players with this exact model because not many of them were made between 1949-1953.  This one survived and is ready to play again.  Actually plays fantastic.  It is not a super light bell.  Plays very meaty, gorgeous sound out front.  Includes a vintage 1960's Conn case, perfect fit.
