Conn 88H Elkhart Era SN N46126. Made in 1970, the last year of production in Elkhart. This is the classic large bore tenor that countless professional players built their careers with since it's introduction in the 1950's. We have had many just like it over the years, but usually not this pristine. All original lacquer and parts, no defects or blemishes. We did full shop service here including chemical bath. Is a real beauty but more importantly plays fantastic. Once you hear and feel the beauty of the dark rose brass sound, you get hooked. Ideal for Orchestra, Band, Solo, Chamber music. Has 8.5" rose brass bell with unsoldered rim, .547 bore gold brass slide, nickel silver end crook. Takes large shank mouthpiece, original Remington taper Conn mouthpiece included. Original case.
Conn Still Makes this model with the same traditional wrap. Dealers sell the current 88H for over $3400 today. This one is not a replica, but the real thing.
