Yamaha YSL-646 Medium Bore .525 Tenor. This is a model originally only available in Japan, Europe. Was introduced in 1976. This one is from the 1980's. Has Yellow Brass Bell, lightweight brass handslide, standard rotor. Slide is very good, valve section is fantastic. This is a pro level horn, but, would be an ideal first trigger horn for an advancing younger player or for any age player looking for medium bore options. Takes small shank mouthpiece. Many students prefer medium bore vs. large bore .547 because it is an easier transition, and is more versatile for all styles of music, band, orchestra, small group, jazz. Case also in good condition. No issues with playability on this horn. Current model Yamaha such as YSL-640 sell for over $2400 today. This would be a great step-up horn. Mouthpiece not included.
