CONN

Conn 50H Trombone Vintage Elkhart, Indiana.  SN N36934 Made approximately 1970, the last year of Elkhart production.  Has 8.5" yellow brass bell with .522 bore brass slide. Takes small shank trombone mouthpiece. Originally designed and marketed to students, as an intermediate or "step-up" trombone,  but today, when you play it, it's just a like a pro vintage Conn from the Elkhart era.  Nothing less in quality compared to the horns that Conn offered to the professional players over the years.  It would be a great trigger horn for anyone looking to play a medium bore tenor today. Takes small shank mouthpiece.  Something in the 6 1/2 range would be perfect.  Ideal size for an advancing student looking for something with F attachment but not wanting to go up to .547 bore.  I see a lot of younger students go straight from their beginner horn small bore all the way up to full tenor like a Bach 42B and never really get a chance to develop their upper register.  Smaller bore trombones in this size range .522-.525 have the same playing characteristics of larger tenors but play with more ease.  In addition, the size would also work great for a commercial style player wanting an F attachment but wants something a little larger than a 3BF size. This horn has All original parts and lacquer. We did full shop service here, including chemical bath, slide alignment, rotor service, no dents or dings.  It is a straight horn and  Is in excellent playing condition, plus it sounds fantastic.  Blows easy and trigger is quick and open.  Original case included.  In-stock for immediate delivery.
