S.E. Shires Large Bore Tenor Bell Model 2YM. Is an early Shires make. Made by Steve Shires in the early years of S.E. Shires. Is compatible with all current valve sections and tuning slides. We checked with our current stock of recent make components and it fits proper.
Has 8.5" bell flare, unsoldered rim. This type of bell will produce a wide resonate sound with an enormous amount of tonal flexibility. Is the type of sound that you can push to the limit, yet still feels nimble at softer dynamics. Standard weight, ideal for orchestra use. Has some lacquer wear and has been played on regularly by previous owner, with proven results. Will take any accomplished player a long way. No service needs to improve playability.
