Conn 78H Medium Bore Tenor made in Elkhart in the late 1930's SN 318723. Gorgeous Looking and amazing playing classic vintage Conn .522 Bore with 8" Bell, Gold Plate Inner bell. If you were a pro orchestra player during the Great Depression, Right up until WWII it is very likely that you would have played this horn. Probably a dream horn for most guys back then. It is classic Conn all the way. Has medium bore .522 for small shank mouthpiece. 8" Bell, unsoldered rim. Is a brass bell with silver plate. Has fancy deco type engraving. Is all original parts and lacquer. No service needs to improve playability. Hand slide is excellent, only one very small spot inner tube smooth wear that is not an issue whatsoever. Action of the handslide is probably as good today as it was in 1938. Bell has never been creased or damaged. We have sold many of these at The Brass Exchange over the years, this is a very nice one. In-stock for immediate delivery.
