Conn 4H L-W Vintage 1948 Small Bore Tenor Trombone, SN 379607. Classic small bore tenor, professional level, Elkhart IN make. This the the Light weight model and is stamped L-W by the SN. Has yellow brass bell, brass handslide with nickel silver end crook. Tuning Slide is gold brass, has fancy 2 piece Conn balance weight. All original parts and lacquer. Has had full shop service including chemical bath. Bell section has the half moon deco style engraving. This is a good playing 4H. There is some plating loss on the slide inner- but there are different types of plating loss- this is smooth wear and does not create drag or tension in the slide because the tubes are totally straight, and the slide falls very easily with gravitiy. This would be an awesome vintage horn for any player lookng in this size. Attention Parents looking for a horn for a younger kid: This is professional level, and pro quality build. Modern day student models do not even compare to quality or playabiltiy. I highly reccomend this horn for a kid starting out. Has new MTS case, made in Indiana, includes mouthpiece.
