S.E. Shires Custom Series Medium Bore Professional Tenor. Recent make Boston Factory, just arrived. We have been an authorized Shires dealer for many years, and have always been fond of the medium bore tenors. This one is the Vintage NY model. It has TII5VNY8 Yellow Brass Belll, Gold Brass X tuning Slide, Balance Weight, removable neckpipe, T25 standard width slide, 3 removable leadpipes for standard small shank, additional leadpipes for large shank availble for substitution. Comes with a Shires Marcus Bonna Tenor Case. Includes Factory. I had a visit from a prinicipal player in a Major U.S. orchestra late last year and had a long discussion about the demands of modern orchestra programming. What I have learned is that many players are including medium bore .525 into there lineup of trombones for the job. It makes sense- especially shows that have pops, big band style, film scores. When you take the right horn to the gig, everything starts to get easier, and sound the way you want it too. This model is very similar to the Vintage NY model Large Tenor. As with all Shires modular set-up's you can interchange components, or add a valve section. This is a really great horn. Expected delivery September 2022. Pre-order available.
