King 2B Silversonic Valve Trombone. Bell section is a 1960's H.N. White Era 2B Sterling Silver Bell. Valve section is from the mid 1970's SN 664XXX, perfect pairing, excellent fit. Valve section has had a mouthpipe modification, curved upward, which puts the the bell easily at 90 degrees for a slightly down stream player. Perfect set up for reading charts when standing, like in a wedding band. Valve action is very smooth, has a gorgeous sound. Sterling bells have more density and can take whatever you give them, which translates to more energy out front. This is the type of set up that works great in a horn section with sax and trumpet, or, no trumpet, just trombone and sax. Comes with original black silver King coffin case for both slide and valve section. This is a seriously great pro player horn that will not dissapoint. Is a bebop dream set-up. Pictured with gold plated mouthpiece, not included. In stock for immediate delivery.
