Conn 6H Vintage Trombone from 1941. It's hard to believe that this horn has survived through the years. First of all, I am personally a 6H guy. I have played on probably 100 of them over the years, and currently use them for small group, and even lead in a big band or jazz trombone quartet. Sometimes I feel that the 8" bell is a little too wide and the sound is more spread out for lead. This 1941 6H has a 7.5" bell. For any 6H player out there that has ever felt the way I have, this could be the answer. It feels like a 6H all the way, but has more center. Also, it's a weightier horn. The sound has enormous projection. The high register screams on it. It's raw brass 7.5" bell with .500 bore gold brass hand slide- is all stock and original, except no lacquer. Has the half-moon deco style engraving. Has never had major damage- super straight horn, hand slide tubes are without plating defect. The slide is excellent and is gig ready. One thing that I noticed about the bell is that it may have a little more copper in the alloy. It looks that way, and plays with warmth, but not quite the same as gold brass. The gold-plated mouthpiece in the main photo is not included. I kept it on the horn after demoing it because it looks great in the pics. I should probably keep this 6H for myself, but.... like the owner of the pet store... I can't keep the puppies. Case not included. The original case was trashed. In-stock for immediate delivery.
