Conn 8H Large Bore Tenor, Elkhart Era, 1962 Make. Classic Large bore tenor that never goes out of style. Has 8.5" rose brass bell. This one has never been damaged, lacquer is gorgeous, all original. Has standard .547 gold brass handslide with nickel silver end crook. Springs in first position, cork barrels, can be removed upon request. Handslide action is excellent. Tubes are very straight and have not been damaged, minor plating wear, smooth, no issue. Original leadpipe, for Remington style shank. The standard Conn Shank for Remington works great, but there are other mouthpiece makers that offer a Conn taper, including Bach, many online retailers carry them. And of course there is always Ebay, and Facebook. This would be a great horn for a Vintage Conn Player looking for that classic Conn Sound. Would also be a fantastic large bore Jazz tenor, plenty dark, but will also sizzle when you ask it too. One of our favorite models of all time, this one will not dissapoint.
