King 3B Concert H.N. White 1950's Vintage. Was made between 1955-1960, is about the earilest one that we have seen here since the beginning of the Brass Exchange. Is most likely from 1956-57. King introduced the model in 1954. This one is all original parts, has been re-lacquered, many years ago and is in excellent condition. Has the classic 3B 8" Yellow brass bell, lightweight nickel .508 bore handslide. J.J. Johnson played this model. Kings are well known for a sweet centered sound. This one plays easy and comes from the family of the original owner. Handslide tubes are in perfect conditon, without defect. This 3B has the black/silver coffin case with blue interior. It would be harder to find a nicer 1950's 3B concert that this one. One of the features of the early 3B's is that the tuning crook is a little longer than the later ones, which definitely effects both sound and pitch. I feel that they play easier than the later ones, like 70's 80's and later. Would be a fantastic pro level jazz trombone for anyone, all levels of plays. In-stock.
