Conn 88H Early 1970's Abilene Make. When Conn moved from Elkhart Indiana to Abilene TX in the Early 1970's, production of the legendary 88H continued. The early ones were still made with Elkhart parts. There have been many anecdotal accounts of what really happened in those days with production. But, the fact is, if a horn plays good, it doesn't really matter if it was Elkhart or Abilene made. This one is a good player and has had full shop service, including chemical bath, rotor removed, casing polished, slide adjusted. Original Lacquer is in great shape. Inner slide tubes are 100% with plating. This is the classic 8.5" unsoldered rose brass bell with .547 bore handslide. Would make an excellent large bore tenor for anyone looking for the legendary Conn sound. Original case in good condition. In-stock for immediate delivery.
