Conn 88H Traditional Large Bore tenor.  No trombone player that I have ever known or heard of looked back upon their playing career and regretted playing on an 88H.  This is the classic model.  It has the rose brass 8.5" bell, traditional wrap rotor, large bore .547 handslide with gold brass outer slide tubes and nickel silver end crook.  If you ever want to hear someone really play one of these, check out Norman Bolter, retired Boston Symphony, Faculty at New England Conservatory.  There are plenty of recordings of him using one of these in the orchestra, not to mention his current youtube channel.  Conn moved from Elkhart, IN to Abilene TX around 1970.  This is one of the early Abilene's.  They still used mostly Elkhart parts even in TX, especially the early 70's.  It even has the Elkhart style Conn engraving.  This one has had full shop service, chem bath, slide alignment, rotor serviced.  It's an excellent player.  Actually plays as good if not better than many Elkhart 88H's that have passed through here over the years.  All original lacquer except the main tuning slide, we re-lacquered it to brighten up appearance.  No issues with playability, valve is perfect, handslide is very good, despite a small inner tube wear spot.  Once you play it, and hear how great it sounds,  you will easily overlook care a small spot of plating loss on the slide.  Original case included.  In-stock for immediate delivery.
