Vintage Elkhart 2RVE is the S.E. Shires version of the legendary Elkhart 88H bell. The 2RVE bell is two piece red brass with an unsoldered bead. It behaves remarkably similar to the vintage horns but in a more modern, cleaner manner. The seamed tuning slide is made out of seamed ( not drawn) tubing, like a bell stem. This tends to focus the overtones and feels very similar to vintage Conn tuning slides with the nickel plate on the back. The dual bore valve is the newest rotor; it has a remarkably focused feel, tenor sound, which roars in the low register. Slide Options include TW47, TW47LW, or TW47YC (Yellow Crook).
