Conn 62H Bass Trombone Vintage "Abilene" Vintage 1971. When Conn moved the trombone factory to Abiline TX, production of this model continued until 1972. While not quite Elkart assembled, the parts for this horn all came from the Elkhart factory. Put simply, a great horn is a great horn. All original parts, lacquer, amazing condition single owner 62H Bell is in perfect condition. Standard .562 Bass Bore with 9.5" Rose Brass Bell. Standard Rotary Dependent Configuration with F/E as was original to the model. Has additional Eb slide extension. Tuning in slide "T.I.S." mechanism works perfectly. Handslide is near perfect., all original parts, minimal signs of use on outer slide and grip. Inner slide tubes are 100% perfect, absolutely no chrome wear on them. Alignment is perfect also, free of tension or drag, very straight all four tubes. Original soldered in leadpipe. Has springs in first position, as factory specs, original. Overall the instrument looks gorgeous, but more important, plays fantastic, easy blowing and quite open, brilliance when played with authority- classic commercial sound. Capabale of taking a Pro Player a long way. Will be chem cleaned, flushed prior to delivery.
