Bach 42 Straight Tenor with original French Style case. Made around 1976, this single owner horn was picked at this best in a large selection at Giardineli Music in NY city by a high level player. All original parts & lacquer. Has not seen damage or neglect. Some lacquer wear. Slide is super straight and plays very easily. No signs of chrome wear on original inner slide tubes. Would make an excellent choice for the serious Bach player/collector. Has rich Bach overtones, described by many as milk chocolate smooth. A new modern make straight 42 will sell for over $2600 today- but playability isn't close.
