Miraphone 4/4 CC Tuba, 5 Rotary Valves. Has 16.5" Bell diameter. This is a German Mira the "F" on the engraving represents horns made for the U.S. Market during an earlier period when a telephone co. had a patent on "Miraphone". This horn has been played and is in very good working order. Freshly cleaned and serviced, chemical bath & flush, de-dented and few creases removed from the flare. Few signs of previous repairs. No service required to improve playability. Has the nickel silver wreath on the bell flare. Exact year of make is unknown. Used 4/4 CC tubas are far a few between at a reasonable price point. The current Mira 186 model sells new today for over $8600. Would be an excellent horn for youth symphony, or institution.
