T.M. Koeder Valve Trombone. Satin Silver Plated. Custom Valve trombone made most likely before WWII. Koeder was an instrument maker that lived between 1884-1971. Based in Naperville, IL, he had a custom brass shop with close ties to the renowned craftsman in Elkhart, IN. Many of the parts on this instrument resemble those by Conn. Has 7" Bell. Everything on this horn is super straight and original. Freshly cleaned and serviced, super clean vintage valve trombone. Plays very easily, especially in the upper range, standard Bb tuning. Will take a standard small shank trombone mouthpiece, though a slightly smaller shank, customized to fit this instrument will make it play even better. The valves are super fast and quiet, slots really well and has great compression. This would be a great valve trombone for any serious player or collector. Would also be great for a trumpet doubler, or slide trombone jazz player looking to create a new sound and vibe. It is really amazing that this instrument has survived the years in such great conditon. Comes with original case. No service required to improve playability or appearance.
