Bach 42B Vintage 1976 "Corporation" Era, one of the last few years of production at the Elkhart plant when Vincent Bach was still alive, 23,XXX serial number. Bach trombones from this era are revered by many as the finest, as is Conn's pre 1970. Historical data has marked instruments from this period as extraordinary. As time passes, well preserved and good playing Bachs, from 1976 and earlier will likely increase in value. This one is a very good player. It does have cosmetic flaws and signs of earlier dents removal. Yet, still a very solid player. Has been freshly cleaned and serviced, chemical bath and flush, plus slide and valve adjustments. No need to visist a repairman to improve the playability. A classic 42B, great sound, plays easily. Would take an advancing player to the next level. Non-original case, mouthpiece not included.
