Conn 78H medium bore size .522 with 8" Yellow Brass Bell. Looks like a small bore straight tenor, but plays way bigger, yet still takes a small shank mouthpiece. Produces much bigger and darker sound than a .508, or .500 bore, but looks to be about the same size. Many jazz and commericial players today are moving up to bigger gear. Ideal for gigging professionals, pit orchestras, shows, salsa, ect. With a larger cup mouthpiece it could also work in an orchestra, especially for pops style performances. This one is from the 1970's, has had a previous overhaul and nice appearance. Hand slide was just set-up by a slide guru and has no room for improvement. There is some plating wear on the slide, but, it is one of those types of horns that you just have to play to appreciate how great the slide really is. Comes with a new case by Kaces. Mouthpiece not included.
