The good news is that we get a lot of really great pre-owned bass trombones from our existing customers. Once they arrive we put them through full shop service and chemical bath. We take care of the repairs and maintenance before we sell a trombone because we know that access to a repair shop can be difficult. Especially at certain times of the year, like summer. This is when all the schools have their school owned instruments serviced. It is not uncommon to have to wait 4-6 weeks to have needed clean-up work done. Rest assured, any instrument that you purchase from The Brass Exchange will not need additional service work to make it playable, unless we present it as needing repairs when it is listed on our website.
The Brass Exchange is an Authorized dealer for S.E. Shires, and Greenhoe Trombones made in Chicago. But, we carry all brands of used trombones. Most of the instruments listed for sale on our website are in top playing condition, and have been serviced professionally. We don't like to sell or ship out instruments that are in need of repair, because we understand how it can be such a hassle to buy a used trombone online, then upon delivery you need to take it to a repair shop to have it made playable again.
