Yamaha YSL-648 Large Bore Tenor, Traditional Wrap, Based on the Conn 88H with specs. This model is from the 1980's. Single owner, well kept. Has 8.5" Yellow Brass Bell, The lacquer has darkened somewhat giving the appearance of gold brass, it is a gorgeous color. Has .547 straight bore brass slide for large shank mouthpiece, one is included. We did full shop service here, including full once over an chemical bath. There are no issues with playability, hand slide is very good, straight tubes and excellent alignment. This is a medium-light horn over all, very easy to handle. Plays perfectly. I play tested it with a 5GB Bach Mouthpiece, and was amazed at how easy it plays, especially the low register in the trigger. I would not hesitate to recommend this horn for any advancing player looking for pro level. Would be an ideal first large bore tenor for an advancing student. Is priced like a step up but is a pro level, and was the top model produced by Yamaha in the 1980's. Original case has been kept with a canvas cover, it is in perfect condition, canvas zipper cover included. Also includes mouthpiece.
