Used Yamaha YSL-455G .525 Bore (Medium) Straight Tenor SN 003869 Has 8" Gold Brass Bell. Is similar to the YSL-447G but with a smaller bore size for small shank mouthpiece. Has the same size specs as the Classic Bach 36 model. We did full shop service here including chemical bath and complete once over. No dents or dings. Has a great slide that will not disappoint. Very straight slide tubes, no inner slide dents or plating loss. This horn has lacquer wear due to climate/storage, sort of looks like freckles, the lacquer is still there, just not bright and shiny, has dulled with age. The good news is that it plays terrific. Includes original case. Part of the felt liner was coming apart on one end of the case, I glued a few pieces of felt, not really a match but it does the job. Still a solid case, lightweight and sturdy, easy to handle, especially for a younger player. This would be a great horn for either a beginner or an intermediate player. Works great with a mouthpiece in the 6 1/2AL size. Mouthpiece not included. Current pricing for Yamaha 400 series straight tenor trombones is in the $1800 range. This is the type of horn that will definitely do the job and get you to the next level.
