XO 1634 Trombone by Jupiter. Pre-owned, single owner, lightly used as a secondary instrument for about a year. Is in perfect condition. No dents or dings, perfect lacquer, no prior repairs. Excellent slide, super lightweight and is without defect. This is the John Fedchock Model, he is one of the top Jupiter Artists, this model was designed for him. Has similar size specs to King 3B, 8" yellow brass bell, lightweight .508 bore handslide. We could call this a demo or an "open box" model. But, truthfully, this was owned by a college player who left music. Personally when I see "open box" models for sale at low prices on the internet, it raises suspicion. Makes me think there is something wrong with the instrument. Such as, someone bought it previously and didn't like it because it played bad. All we can say is that the one you are looking at plays perfectly and was purchased brand new at full price by the previous owner. One important thing to mention: The case is also in perfect condition, but the previous owner had the outside of the case autographed by a couple of famous Jazz trombonists. Was done with a black sharpie. We can leave it as is, or try to remove with solvent. Another option if you don't like the Autograph on the case would be to put a sticker over it.
