The Vintage Olds Trombone from the 1920s, most likely an Olds "M" model, features a 7" gold brass bell and T.I.S. tuning in the handslide with a dual bore design. This trombone was kept by a retired professional player for many years and was passed down to him by an older player, preserving its remarkable history. The bell fits to the handslide with a friction fit, and there is no slide lock. The horn has never seen damage and is in amazing condition, with the possibility that it was relacquered at some point in its long history. The trombone plays beautifully with excellent slide condition, remaining 100% functional. It's a great fit for brass bands and is an ideal choice for Arthur Pryor solos or Sousa Band music. These trombones are rare today, especially in such remarkable condition. The instrument does not come with a case, but case options are available for similar instruments. This trombone is no longer available and resides in The Brass Exchange Archive of Sold Instruments.
