Early Shires Make Standard Rotor Valve Section SN 1935 for .547 bore tenor, or .525 bore. This was made at least a decade or more before the Eastman era. Was made by Steve Shires himself. It had considerable lacquer wear on the exterior, so we went ahead and overhauled it including new lacquer. It turned out gorgeous, but the best part is that it plays perfectly. A new rotor from Shires today is in the $2100 range. Should fit with all current and past Shires custom parts.
