Shires Chicago Model Tenor Bell 8.5" Used

S.E. Shires Custom Bell Section, Made in Boston. This is Chicago Model Bell 8.5"  Type II Tenor bell, lightweight gold brass.  This is one of the most popular all around large bore tenor bells that Shires offers, and is a personal favorite.  Works really great with nickel silver handlsides, like TW47NLW or TB47NLW, Tenor-Bass Crook, Wide, .547 bore, lightweight nickel.  The gold brass bells play very even and easily, with lots of warmth and less high frequency in the sound overall.  This on is in very good condition except for a scratch on the lacquer in the bell, most likely from a previous repair.  We cleaned it up the best we could.  It plays terrific and is in-stock for immediate delivery.
