King 5B Silversonic Large Bore Tenor, H.N. White Era, Cleveland OH. In it’s day going back to the 1960’s, this model was the deluxe symphony model offered by King. Has 9” Sterling silver bell, gold plated inner bell, .546 bore nickel silver handslide with yellow brass end crook. This instrument has been well cared for and still plays great today. Lacquer and gold plating look amazing. Handslide is without any issues. Valve section works terrific. It’s simply a fine large bore tenor. King used a finger ring below the mouthpiece receiver. This is nice for people with smaller hands, or where a traditional grip is uncomfortable. Takes large shank mouthpiece. Plays with a huge breadth of sound. Sterling silver bells play with warmth and clarity, not to mention enormous energy out front. This horn is both a player and a collectible. There are not many of these around today, as there were not many 5B silversonics produced. In-stock for immediate delivery.
