King 4BF Silversonic Model 2104, SN 43-414807 Sterling Silver Bell model with gold plated trim and inner bell. The bell is sterling but the other silver parts are brass/silver plated. The handslide is nickel silver, silver plated, yellow brass end crook silver plated. No defects on this 4BF, adult owned and played. Is in perfect playing condition. The valve is quick and quiet, and the slide is about as fast and smooth as a slide can be. Bell diameter is 8.5", hand slide is large bore .547 for large shank mouthpiece. Mouthpiece not included. Sterling silver bell models produce an enormous amount of energy, with a crystal clear sound. It is gorgeous to play and listen to as well. Perfect choice for all around use, even lower parts in a jazz band.
King no longer makes the 4BF in sterling silver. But they do still make other models in sterling with a $1700 upcharge. If this model were still produced today it would sell new for over $5000.
