King 3BF Model 2103 from the mid 1980’s. This is a single owner horn. Well cared for and never damaged. Is in excellent playing condition. Has had full shop service here including chemical bath. No dents, dings, or issues with slide, valve or playability. All original parts and lacquer. Has gorgeous appearance. Has the classic 3B sound, it’s hard to beat the pure sound of a nice 3B when played proper. This one has an F attachment. Some 3B guys prefer a straight version without F. But, I know plenty of pro players that love the 3B with F. Yes, jazz guys included. This would be an ideal choice for a HS or College player that is most interested in Jazz band, but also has to play in symphonic band, but doesn’t want to go between large bore and small bore. This horn will do it all. If you want it to play bigger, simply put in a bigger mouthpiece. Bach in the 80’s King would ship this model with a 12C. Today we think a 12C is a little small in general.
