King 3B Early 60's H.N. White Very Mint Condition. All original parts and lacquer. This horn has been played on some, but not heavy road use. Has spent most of it's time in a closet. No dents or dings. Handslide has had pro set-up and is about as good as a 3B slide can get. There was something amazing about the alloy that King used in 1950's-60's. It feels solid when you play it. Pitches center easily and produces the sweet King sound. J.J. Johnson and many other legends played this model. Sometime after the 1960's King started making changes. One of which is the length of the tuning slide. This is the longer version. I like it better than the other option. When you consider the cost of purchasing a new custom small bore today, boutique instrument makers charge upwards of $3500 to get a custom horn, and most are replicating a classic like the 3B. A new Legend 3B in production sells new today for $2400. The current models don't even come close to this original. It's made to last a lifetime.
