King 3B Silversonic Trombone made in the late 1970's SN 669226. We have had easily over 100 King 3B Silversonics since the start of The Brass Exchange in 2010. This is one of the best ones yet. Is all original parts and lacquer. No dents or dings. Never any trauma or major damage or repair work. We just did full shop service here including chemical bath and professional slide set up. The slide is about as good as a 3B slide can be, no tension or drag, no defects or inner tube plating wear. It has been set up proper and plays amazing. The gold plated inner bell is still 100%, original plating. Overall lacquer over the Sterling is still gorgeous, is as the rest of the horn. Has the classic 8" Sterling Silver Bell and .508 bore nickel silver slide with yellow brass end crook. Original coffin style case in excellent condition. Would be an excellent Jazz horn for a pro player or any aspiring student of jazz. You will see these priced crazy high on Ebay, Reverb, Social Media. We have a different approach at our shop and use our own data from prior sales when pricing vintage and pre-owned instruments. This 3BSS is absolutely priced correctly at $2790 when you consider that a legacy Model 3B Legend Silversonic today is priced at $4700+ and that is without gold plated inner bell. The King 3B trombones made today are replicas of the classics from the 60's-70's. and do not play as well either. This 3BSS is the real thing and will not disappoint.
