King 3B Concert, 8" Yellow Brass, .508 Bore. This is the classic 3B model from the early 50's from when H.N. White first started making them. Everything original on this horn. Not overhauled or modified. Slide is excellent, great alignment, very fast/smooth, no chrome wear on inners, horn does not appear to have had too much action. This is without question the best playing and looking one that we have seen since the beginning here at Brass-exchange. J.J. Johnson played on one of these for most of his career. There is a lot of magic in the King 3B sound. This particular model is a heavier weight brass than the modern make ones. It plays out much stronger and projects forward. It is a sweet sound. Another thing about early 3B's is that the tuning slide is longer so you don't have to pull out so far to be in tune with the ensemble, not sure why they changed this. Serious King Players know that the H.N. Whites are superior, this one is Supreme. Original case and cleaning rod also included.
