King 2B Liberty 1970's Make Excellent Condition. This is a super nice vintage 2B, single owner horn. Has the Ropy Style Engraving from King Musical Instruments. This is from the period in King history right after the H.N. White Era of ownership ended. This is probably the most popular small bore tenor, some refer to as a pea shooter, used by more lead players in big bands, jazz bands, than any other model over the years since the big band era. Tommy Dorsey was a 2B player, and the rest is history. The model has not changed over the years. We feel the the older ones like this are better. We like the alloy that the bells and parts are constructed with and also the nickel slide tubes. When you play one of these and compare to modern make, you know right away. This one has not had any damage or repairs. Minimal lacquer wear. It has been played on quite a bit, you can tell looking at it, but it has not been abused or damaged. Always optimistic, we feel the best years for this horn may lie ahead. Has original coffin style case. Mouthpiece not included. In-stock for immediate delivery.
