Bass Trombone Kanstul 1662 with custom satin finish. This is a 9.5" bronze bell, custom make with tuning in bell section vs. tuning in hand slide. The hand slide is a straight bore .562 with gold brass outer slide tubes and nickel silver end crook. Includes 3 removable leadpipes. The hand slide cross brace was modified by B.A.C. Horn Doctor in K.C. Tuning is Dependent Bb/F/GbD. The valve section plays fantastic and the hand slide is super light and free of tension. It's a great playing bass. The thin hand slide cross brace is evidently the same as the one that Elliot Mason plays on from B.A.C. This is a great bass for jazz or commercial style. Lot's of color, and splashes huge in the trigger range. Would work great in a big band. We would be happy to change the hand brace on the slide to a traditional nickel silver brace vs. the current thin brace for no extra cost. Please call or email for details, lead time.
