J. Pfretzschner Medium Size German Tenor. Pretzschner is one of the most famous German instrument makers. Prior to his closure, Gary Greenhoe was listed as the U.S. Distributor. Two brilliant instrument makers. This tenor is used and in excellent conditon. No signs of previous damage or repairs. It has an 8" bell section, which appears to have some gold brass in the alloy. The valve section is removable and converts easily to a straight tenor with the tuning slide/neckpipe, one-piece. It is also dual bore handslide which takes standard trombone small shank mouthpiece. The handslide had a loose solder joint in the bracing, so we decided to set the whole slide up. It is super straight and perfectly smooth. This is an amazing playing German medium dual/bore tenor. Original case included.
