Holton TR185 Single Bass Trombone, Single rotor valve that is.. SN 503892 Made in 1971. Is all original parts and lacquer. Excellent slide, no plating wear with super straight tubes. We did a full once over including chemical bath. No signs of previous major damage or repairs. It looks it's age and plays proper. Gold Brass Bell is around 9.8", has single bore .562 nickel silver slide. This model was introduced shortly after the legendary TR169 discontinued. Is a serious orchestra player, but also works great for just all around bass where a second valve isn't required. Remember everyone, back in the old days trombone players managed fine with just one valve, including some legendary plays such as George Roberts and Ed Kleinhammer, and my Teacher at IU Lewis Van Haney. We think that any bass trombonist will love playing this horn. Has origianl case, but I don't like it, it smells a little funny. I can ship it in the case with he horn plastic wrapped to prevent odor transmission. Or ship without the case, same cost either way.
