Holton TR181 Independent Bass from 1980's with custom valve set-up. First valve Rotax, Second valve Meinlschmidt, customized. One of a kind instrument. Very dark easy playing bass. Has 10" Rose Brass Bell, Unlacquered. Nickel Silver .562 Straight Bore Hand Slide. Slide is very smooth despite a small area of inner chrome wear. This valve system is a major improvement over the standard model offered by Conn-Selmer today. Rotax is the same brand valve used by Edwards on T396A Alessi model. As an independent set-up they play very easily and even. The balance (release) on this set is about as good as it gets. Would be a great bass for a classical trombonist. Original case included.
