Bass, Straight bore .562
9.5" Gold Brass

Holton 169 Bass Trombone.  Made around 1964, S/N 383357.  Has gold brass 9.5" bell, nickel silver bass bore slide, yellow end crook.  This horn has had some restoration work to bring it to top playing condition.  Not much lacquer left on bell and valve section, yet is all original.  Handslide inner tubes were no good, we replaced them with Bach tubes, but were able to harvest the original Holton leadpipe and reused it.  The slide is now good and playable.  The bell section has never been creased, small dings and imperfections removed. Valve section was disassembled and put back together, not all original parts, but close.  It plays perfectly.  The is a small patch on the knuckle coming out of the lower valve port from a previous repair.  It’s fine, as is.  The bell/valve section is straight, proper as we expect.  The entire horn has had a chemical bath and once over.  It is ready to play.  Case not included, unless you want or need one, please call, we have plenty of cases.  In-stock for immediate delivery.
