Probably the most famous Jazz trombonist of all time that played the King 3B was J.J. Johnson. When I listen to J.J. Johnson play jazz on his 3B I can't get enough. His sound quality was amazing, articulations and pitch were simply J.J. Once you play on a 3B you get the concept. The 3B in this feature story is a Silversonic. The bell is solid sterling silver. Sterling plays with clarity and center. The forward projection is outsanding. The best way to describe it is that there is a lot of energy coming out of the front of the trombone.
This horn was made in 1966, It is a Vintage King 3B Silversonic at it's finest.
