King Symphony Model. H.N. White Model from 1925-1930 SN 87337. Most likely 1926. Has 8" Bell Silver Plated with gold plated inner bell. Handslide bore is .508. Same exact specs as the popular 3B model. This is an early King. This is a super straight horn never damaged. Finish has had restoration. Crisp engraving. Interstingly, innner slide tubes at the stockings were nickel plated. Was a major improvement. We had our slide guy set this one up, the slide is flawless. is both a great playing horn and a King collectible. They did not put slide locks on this model. It is also a friction fit connection between slide and bell receiver, this very common on old trombones. On the mouthpiece reciever it is stamped low pitch, near the lion head, this tunes at A440. It is a very nice playing vintage King. Yes you can take it to a gig today and sound fantastic. These were most likely used in Orchestras, Radio Shows, Night Club Orchestras, back in the day. Takes standard small shank mouthpiece. A standard Bach mouthpiece works perfectly today. Overall, it's a super nice vintage King, and clean as a can be, no dents or dings, no signs of major repair, it's a fantastic representation of what H.N. White was doing nearly 100 years ago. The best part is that is still 100% playable today. Original case in worn condition. Mouthpiece not included. In-stock for immediate delivery.
