CONN

Conn 88H Classic Model.  This is the Traditional wrap 88H.  Has the classic 8.5" rose brass bell.  This horn has really not been played on much and is in perfect condition.  The vlalve set and handslide is exactly the way it should be right out of the factory.  Would be a perfect first pro-level large bore tenor for anyone looking to upgrade their equipment.  This is .547 bore and comes with the factory large shank mouthpiece.  Handlside lubricant, and valve lubricant also included.  A new 88H just like it sells new today for close to $2800. Thoughts on 88H Traditional Wrap vs. Open Wrap:  Not much difference in feel.  Definitily no difference in sound.  We like the trad wrap because the F tuning slide doesn't extend past the main tuning slide another 6 inches.  This means that it is less prone to damage, and also more comfortable to play on a tight band or orchestra set-up- if you have music stands behind you, the open wrap can be more trouble than it's worh.  This model has not changed much except for the valve linkeage since the 1950's.
