Conn 78H Vintage 1952. This medium size horn has .522 bore, takes standard small shank mouthpiece, such as 6 1/12, and has yellow brass 8" bell. This horn was designed with versatility in mind. It can be played big or small. Concert Band or Jazz. Would make an excellent medium bore jazz horn especially for solo and acoustic music. Sound is big and full, projects much greater than smaller size horns, yet isn't too big to where your sound gets lost in between the bright sounding saxes and trumpets. No service needed to improve playabiltiy. Handslide is very good, despite a few small chrome defects on inners. Bell section has some lacquer missing, but still looks really good. Comes with excellent condition original leather burgundy case.
