Conn 78H Vintage 1929 Rose Brass Model. Early Conn with 8" rose brass bell, .522 bore with gold brass handslide. All original parts and lacquer. This horn has not been damaged or repaired. Handlside is very straight and all original. There are a few surface defects on the inner at the stockings, but this is typical of horns this age. I prefer them original without part replacements, because they always play better. The slide is not sluggish or slow, the super straight tubes and superior alignment makes this horn totally playable as is. A cream type lubricant may be the way to go. It plays good and is a historic piece of fine american craftsmanship. My only question is was this produced before or after October 1929. SN 268807. Ideal for all around playing. I would not hesitate to reccomend this horn for a young player either. Would make an excellent larger size Jazz trombone with standard small shank mouthiece. A 6 1/2 size mouthpiece works perfectly. Comes with original case, no mouthpiece, in stock for immdediate delivery.
